Good Eats at Mothership

Image
Dear Diary Readers,     In Danbury, we have many delicious cafes and bakeries. Although a quick trip to Starbucks and Dunkin' is alright, visiting a local shop is essential too. I was taught from a young age to show support to small businesses. They tend to be underrated because big chains get the most popularity. It would make a big difference if people could stop and appreciate the "mom and pop" shops. One bakery I enjoy going to is Mothership on Main. They are known for its breakfast and lunch options, specialty drinks, and baked goods.      I usually go there in the morning for breakfast. I recommend drinking a hot matcha latte because it has an earthy, natural taste. On top of that, most of their hot drinks are decorated with milk foam art. Their french toast and waffles are incredible, from their fluffy taste to the dusting of powdered sugar. Once the syrup is poured in, it becomes heavenly.      Mothership Bakery is truly the place to go for good eats. You can ac

Weekend in Groton/Mystic, CT

Dear Diary Readers,      On March 10th, I took a weekend trip to eastern CT with my mother and aunt. We chose to stay in Groton, CT to be near Mystic. Although it was too cold to go to a beach during the winter, there were still different activities.       On Friday (3/10), when we arrived in Groton, my mother and aunt went to an Italian restaurant, and I went to Regal Waterford in Waterford, CT for a movie date. This was the first time we met in person since we had been texting for several months. We chose to watch Creed 3 since the trailer looked nice. The movie itself turned out to be cool, Michael B. Jordan and Johnathan Majors did a terrific job with their acting. As for the guy, he was very kind and I was glad we got to hang out. We want to see each other again sometime soon.      On Saturday (3/11), my mother, aunt, and I started off the morning by eating at breakfast The Shack in Groton, CT. Afterward, we spent the day shopping at Olde Mistick Village in Mystic, CT. There are m

Intro Entry

Dear Diary Readers ,      I'll keep this short and simple.  This is the first blog I've ever created. Honestly, I'm excited and nervous about it. The purpose of my blog will be consistent. I intend to share with the world my thoughts on various factors in life. I'm not a professional writer and I don't intend to make money off of the site. I want to use this space to share parts of myself and reach out to others. Since I was a kid, I've always loved writing entries in different diaries. Through any ups and downs, I would write down my feelings and thoughts. While they were private for me, I'm now sharing my entries as an adult. You could say this is an online diary for adults. Anything I put out there is going to be from the heart. All I can do is be myself because it's who I am. I hope you enjoy this blog! Feel free to send a comment and I'll see you in the next post.  Sincerely, Jasmine
