Dear Diary Readers,  I went on a one-night trip to Vermont with family and had a great time. It was pretty low-key and didn't do much planning for activities. We stayed at a hotel and spa resort in Proctorsville, VT called The Pointe at Castle Hill. It's got an amazing indoor pool and hot tub. One of my favorite things about it was their game room.  On Friday (5/19), we went out to dinner at DJ's restaurant in Ludlow, VT. It was only 5 minutes away from our hotel. I had a NY strip steak with fries. After we returned to the hotel, we played at the pool table in the game room until midnight.  On Saturday (5/20), I started my morning swimming at the pool before we checked out of the hotel. Afterward, we went to Vermont Country Store to purchase souvenirs. Then, our next stop was going to Waterbury, VT to go to the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory. To close off our VT trip, we went to the Cabot Creamery store and Cold Hollow Cider Mill. In summary, I love Vermont because

  Dear Diary Readers, In Newtown, CT there is an authentic and delicious Italian restaurant called Sal e Pepe. They may be a little fancy, but they still produce incredible food. It is worth the cost and will make you want to revisit.  The best appetizers to indulge in are the fried calamari and arancini. The arancini are fried risotto balls, served with marinara sauce. It can be a decadent appetizer. The fried calamari is tasty and crispy.  My top choice for the entree is the Ricotta Gnocchi. I enjoy eating it with marinara sauce, but bolognese is available for meat lovers. It is so pillowy and cheesy, this pasta dish is wonderful. For dessert, I will rotate between selecting the Creme Brulee or Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding. It depends on my mood, whether I seek something filling or a light dessert when I'm too full. Sal e Pepe is over all of the best Italian restaurants to dine at near Newtown. I hope you give it a try and enjoy the dish. I'll see you in the next post! Sincere

  Dear Diary Readers,  Curly hair is an incredible shape. There are different types of curls and coils. I, myself, love my curly head of dark brown hair. However, it wasn't always the case.  When I was a kid, I thought my hair was too frizzy and didn't look defined. I would spend most of my childhood wearing braids often. It was rare for me back then to wear my locks loose. Within the last couple of years, I've been watching youtube videos and learning more about how to style and maintain curls. The key is choosing the correct hair care products for yourself that are curly hair friendly. This explained why my hair wasn't as defined or smooth when I was younger. It wasn't as common years ago to find curly hair care products on the market as today.  By taking better care of my curls and using proper techniques, I saw the beauty behind them. So to the rest of the curly hair community, please embrace your curls, coils, and kinks. They are luscious and beautiful. I'l
